What the estimate includes
The tool multiplies the selected Department of State base nonimmigrant visa application fee by the number of applicants at that rate, then adds your entered costs. It is intended for budgeting, not payment. All amounts are in U.S. dollars. Use a separate calculation for applicants in different categories.
| Selected categories | Base fee per applicant |
|---|---|
| B, F, M | $185 |
| H, L, O, P, Q, R | $205 |
| K | $265 |
| E | $315 |
These base rates were checked against the State Department schedule on 2 October 2026. They are not an all-in government fee calculation. USCIS petition and application charges, I-901 SEVIS fees, nationality-based issuance fees, applicable supplemental charges and non-government expenses are excluded unless you add a confirmed amount yourself.
Before paying
Check current agency and consular instructions, exemptions, applicable additional charges, exchange rates and payment methods. A category selection here does not establish visa eligibility. The tool does not cover immigrant visa fees or every nonimmigrant classification. It does not assess fee-waiver eligibility.
For USCIS filings, use the official fee schedule and form instructions rather than a consular application amount. The calculator disables its stored-rate calculation after 31 December 2026 unless reviewed. The dated reference table remains a historical snapshot; a review date never guarantees that a rule has not changed since then.
Inputs stay in this page and are not sent to Aries Legal. Reloading clears them. Read how to build a complete budget for a way to record unresolved costs.
